Medical Assistance

Thirty percent of our Monthly Dues is set aide for Member’s Welfare. A percentage of this is used to fund the Medical Assistance Fund. The fund is utilized to provide a monetary amount to members who are hospitalize for medicines and other medical help which can be availed once a year.

Who May Apply For Medical Assistance

• Open to all AIPGE members in good standing (MIGS) for at least six (6) months prior to admission/confinement.
• Member for at least six (6) months.
• Has not availed of hospitalization assistance this calendar year and applied not later than six (6) months from discharge on which claim is made.
• In the hospital for a minimum of one (1) day due to illness or accident except self-inflicted injuries (e.g. suicide attempt), optional surgeries (e.g. nose lift), and childbirth.

Schedule of Benefits

The member shall receive a fixed medical assistance of :

• P2,000 for 1-3 days of confinement
• P3,000 for more than 3 days of confinement
• Member/kin may file application while the patient is confined in the hospital or after his/her confinement.

Requirements

• Medical Assistance Application Form (1 copy) signed by AIPGE member and their Administrative Officer or Head of Office.
• Certificate of confinement / Medical certificate from the hospital stating the number of days that the patient has been confined.
• Identification Card of employee upon claiming his/her medical assistance.
• Proof that the claimant is the wife/husband/child of the patient or authorization letter in case of authorized representative.
• The application shall be evaluated by the Welfare Committee and approved by the AIPGE President prior to the release of financial assistance by the Treasurer.
